Adani Group declared that while they were not interested in telecom services, they were entering the 5G spectrum auction race to offer a private network for airports and their ports business.
In an effort to enter the telecom market, reports on Saturday stated that the ports, coal, energy distribution, and aviation conglomerate would participate in the auction for the 5G spectrum.
"We have received a lot of inquiries about our interest in the 5G space. Our intention is not to be in the consumer mobility space," Adani Group in Media said.
According to rumours, Jio, Airtel, and Vodafone Idea will roll out next-generation 5G services in India, which has sought applications for the sale of spectrum.
According to reports, the ports to energy company's unexpected choice to enter that bidding process would cause a pitch.
Adani Group, however, declared that it would participate in the 5G spectrum auction race to offer private network solutions.
Improved cyber security for its airport, ports, and logistics, as well as its current businesses' power generation, transmission, and distribution activities.
The next auction participants' payment terms have generally been cut and the 20-year licence to utilise the spectrum has been extended.
Spectrum in a number of low (600 MHz, 700 MHz, 800 MHz, 900 MHz, 1800 MHz, 2100 MHz, and 2300 MHz), mid (3300 MHz), and high (26 GHz) frequency bands will be up for auction.
The auction, which is scheduled to begin on July 26, 2022, would offer a total of 72,097.85 MHz spectrum worth at least 4.3 lakh crore.
