The makers of the Brahmastra song Kesariya released the Telugu version of the song, titled Kumkumala, almost a month after the release of the Brahmastra song Kesariya. Alia Bhatt teased the film in an Instagram post, writing: “Kumkumala takes the place of Kesariya. With love and pride, enjoy the Telugu version of the teaser you’ve always adored.

On September 9th, Brahmastra Part One: Shiva will be released in theatres.” Sid Sriram sang the Telugu version of the song, which was created by Pritam and contains Chandrabose’s lyrics. SS Rajamouli will direct the Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam versions of the film, while Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions will handle the Hindi version.

The makers released the Hindi version of the song on the day of Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s wedding. The film’s director published the teaser for the song and wrote a long statement for Alia and Ranbir, which included the following excerpt: “We simply had to share a bit of their love story from our film, Kesariya, to honour them… as a present to them and everyone! On the sets of Brahmastra, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor fell in love. They started dating in 2018 and made their first public appearance as a couple at the wedding reception of Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja in Mumbai.
Brahmastra, Alia and Ranbir’s first collaboration, is set to hit theatres in September and stars Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna, Dimple Kapadia, and Mouni Roy, among others. On September 9, the film will be released in theatres.
